What counts toward the monthly AI token limit?

Only tokens consumed by Neural Data Studio's AI (input + output of each request). If you prefer to connect your own API key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI) the tokens consumed do not count against the limit — you only pay the provider's API. SQL written manually in the workbench does not consume quota either.

Why tokens and not queries?

Each request uses a variable number of tokens based on the database schema and the complexity of the question — tokens reflect the real cost; queries are only an approximation.

Can I change my plan at any time?

Yes, upgrades and downgrades are self-service from the dashboard. Proration is handled automatically by Stripe.

Is there a discount for annual billing?

Yes: annual billing gives approximately 17% off compared to the monthly equivalent on Pro and Pro+ plans. For Enterprise, pricing is custom.

Does the Free plan expire?

No. You can stay on Free for as long as you like, with the limit of 100K AI tokens per month and 1 connection.

How does billing work?

Billing is handled by Stripe. You receive an invoice by email and can download the history from the dashboard. Enterprise contracts are invoiced separately.
